Biography

Dr. Ian James Martins is an internationally recognized researcher and academic with extensive experience in endocrinology, metabolism, nutrition, diabetes, aging, and neurodegenerative disease research. He has authored more than 150 publications and has contributed extensively as an editor and peer reviewer for international scientific journals. He has served in senior editorial roles, including Chief Editor and Special Issue Editor, and has reviewed research for numerous journals indexed in major scholarly databases. His research interests include anti-aging biology, nutritional regulation, chronic diseases, biomarkers, mitochondrial function, and the relationship between nutrition and neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Martins has received several international research and scientific awards in recognition of his contributions to biomedical and health sciences.
